This is the technical status page of combahton GmbH which represents past incidents and planned maintenances.
We're currently in the process of migrating four old ssd-gluster Nodes, which are used by our cloud infrastructure. As the process is done using glusterfs replace-brick feature, there is no impact to our customers. Migration happens live during operation. Once all old nodes are migrated, we will decomission them. New nodes will provide a lot more performance due to Hardware Raid 10 and NVMe Cache using bcache like our hdd-gluster nodes already do.
Interxion informed us about new regulations valid on the whole campus area and datacenter buildings.
Interxion’s data centre facilities globally remain fully operational with onsite technical staff monitoring and supporting your critical operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance with local government and health agency guidelines, Interxion is maintaining a risk-based, safety-first programme focused on maintaining operational continuity for our customers. As a result, we want to remind all customers that despite the ease of restrictions in some regions, the following protocols will remain in place at all Interxion facilities through at least year-end and until otherwise notified:
We recommend wearing a mask at all times within an Interxion facility
Maintain social distancing at all times & prioritise personal hygiene
Limit site visits and onsite personnel to critical activities only
Security screening remains in effect upon site entry
Immediately report any onsite positive cases of COVID-19 (or suspected positive or pending testing) to Interxion.
Interxion informed us about the cancellation of this maintenance on 23.10.2020, 02:01pm CEST.
On Monday, 26th of October, Interxion will conduct their regular black building test at the FRA3 site. Customer impact is not expected.
A black-building test is used to check how well a building is prepared for a power failure and to determine appropriate countermeasures. This is because a power failure - for example, due to construction work or a lightning strike - can have drastic impact for public services. These tests are therefore used to check whether the emergency power supply system works as intended in the event of a power loss, and whether the supply of safety-related equipment is ensured.
On October 28th at 9:30pm CEST, we're performing maintenance on our BLC05 Bladecenter. This planned outage will take between one to two hours to complete.
Details about the maintenance: We'll be using this time to relocate BLC05 for capacity reasons. During this maintenance window, all dedicated servers located in BLC05 will be inaccessible. We will do our absolute best to perform this operation as fast as possible.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. As always, if you have any questions or issues, please submit them at https://my.combahton.net.
